We are seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician in Bedford Park, IL to join our team.

The ideal Mechanical and Electrical Technician candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to read and interpret schematics, work with low voltage systems, and adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC). This role requires hands-on experience with various electrical tools and equipment, ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs are completed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in industrial settings.
• Repair and Maintain Industrial Machinery
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Utilize voltmeters, ammeters, and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Work with hand tools and power tools to execute installations and repairs.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, including commercial electricians, to complete projects on time.
• Adhere to all safety protocols while working in potentially hazardous environments.
• Document work performed and maintained accurate records of repairs and installations.

Qualifications

• Experience within a manufacturing facility repairing and maintaining industrial machinery
• Field Devices: Limit Switches, Proximity Switches, Level Probes
• Siemens, Allen Bradley Drives-Preferred
• AC Motors & VFD
• Diagnostic Tools: Meger Meter, Multi-Meter, Infrared Thermometer, Thermal Imager
• Proficient in using voltmeters, ammeters, hand tools, and power tools.
• Familiarity with Lean/WCM principles and practices.
• Ability to read schematics and technical drawings effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
