The primary role of the Environmental, Health, and Safety Coordinator is to support, plan, and assist in
the implementation and execution of policies and procedures to reduce EHS risks to employees and
visitors at the Avery manufacturing facility.
• Serve as the primary resource for organizing and managing the training program for the site.
• Will lead the development and implementation of all EHS&S Training for all employees and
contractors.
• Administer and support programs such as but not limited to Hearing Conservation, Respiratory,
Chemical (SDS), Personal Protective Equipment, Industrial Health, Blood Borne Pathogens, Haz
Com, Emergency Response / Spill Response, Powered Industrial Vehicles, LOTO, Machine
Guarding, etc.
• Assist in creating, maintaining, documenting, and communicating EHS-related policies and
procedures.
• Assist employees, contractors, and visitors to ensure compliance with all safety policies.
• Participate in site JSAs, Risk Assessments, Gemba & SMAT programs
• Participate and support 5S process.
• May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
Requirements
What do you bring?
• High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree in an Environmental, Health, and Safety field or related
work experience preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NEC rules and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the
organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Open to some travel (less than 10%) to participate in training and professional development opportunities.
